Packages available for US citizens, green card holders, and non-US citizens seeking vaccine shots

Guam has officially launched the island's vaccination tourism, with nearly a dozen Tumon hotels participating in the Air V&V program that offers tour packages.

“This program captures a unique demographic of travelers around the world that are tired of waiting to get vaccinated in this pandemic," said Carl Gutierrez, president of the Guam Visitors Bureau.

" This will give a shot in the arm to our tourism industry through this unique and valuable service, offering more opportunities to put our people back to work and get our economy roaring again," he added.

The program is offered to American citizens living in foreign countries, green card holders and non-U.S. citizens.

As of this week, Guam has the remaining 66,400 doses of the total 233,450 vaccine allotments.

Gutierrez said the program is projected to draw 30,000 visitors through December.
