Business Briefs: AK, UOG team up to build local workforce; Women business summit set for Sept. 26

Atkins Kroll Inc. Guam, an Inchcape company, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Guam to build a stronger, future-ready workforce and support the development of the island’s next generation of leaders.  


Through the program, UOG students will gain real-world experience in key business disciplines, such as finance, marketing, business administration and information technology.


Students will also engage in hands-on learning and mentorship opportunities with professionals from Atkins Kroll, helping them build valuable skills for the workforce. 


“This collaboration reflects the University of Guam’s continued efforts to build the workforce and create purposeful career pathways by connecting students directly with leaders in our local industries,” said Dr. Anita Borja Enriquez, UOG president.


“As a company deeply rooted in Guam, we’re incredibly proud of this partnership,” said Clark Boswell, general manager and vice president of Atkins Kroll. “It’s a meaningful way for us to support the next generation of leaders who will help shape the future of our island. This is about more than careers—it’s about community, connection, and love for our island.” 




Fanachu Famalåo’an: In Bloom returns on Sept. 26


Fanachu Famalåo’an, Guam's largest annual women in business summit hosted by the Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce, returns on Sept. 26 at the Hyatt Regency Guam. 


The 2025 event is themed “In Bloom” and is set to inspire, educate and empower women entrepreneurs and professionals across the island.


In Bloom 2025 promises a dynamic and enriching experience, featuring a powerhouse keynote speaker, an impressive lineup of masterclasses and engaging panel discussions.


Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded women, gain valuable insights, and explore a vibrant female-owned vendor marketplace.
