The new flagship Cost.U.Less store in Hagåtña will officially open on Aug. 28, while the Tamuning branch will shut down on Aug. 27 as part of the North West Company's strategic realignment.
“This is an exciting milestone for Cost.U.Less and for our customers in Guam,” said Kevin Proctor, president of Cost.U.Less. “Our new Hagåtña store reflects our commitment to investing in the future of the island and delivering an even better shopping experience."
The 50,000-sq.ft. Hagatna location will be the largest Cost.U.Less store on Guam, offering customers an expanded assortment of products, enhanced shopping convenience and the exceptional value the brand is known for, the company said in a press release.
Northwest Company said the new store's opening "marks a significant investment in Guam and reinforces Cost.U.Less' long-term commitment to serving families, businesses and communities across the island."
“The opening of our Hagåtña store represents the next chapter for Cost.U.Less in Guam,” Proctor said. “We're excited to provide customers with a larger, enhanced shopping experience while continuing to serve the island through both our new Hagåtña location and our Dededo store.”

Employees from the Tamuning branch will be transferred to either Dededo store or the new Hagåtña location.
“We are proud that our Tamuning team will remain part of the Cost.U.Less family,” Proctor said. “Their experience, knowledge, and dedication will play an important role in the success of our new Hagåtña store and our continued service to customers throughout Guam.”
Cost.U.Less Express Chalan Pago store closed on March 1 as part of the consolidation and preparation for the Hagatna store opening.
Cost-U-Less has been operating on Guam for over 31 years. It opened its first location in Harmon in May 1992. The Tamuning location opened in 1995.
Operating as warehouse-style retail stores with goods being displayed in their cases, on shipping pallets or on steel shelves, Cost.U.Less also runs branches in Hawaii, American Samoa, Fiji, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Netherlands Antilles.
The stores offer groceries, housewares, consumer electronics, lawn and garden supplies and other merchandise at discount or bulk rate prices.
