'The Voice' concert to benefit Sisters of Mercy

After years in hiatus, Guam philanthropist Emilio Uy of National Office Supply is back helping the community by supporting a benefit concert at Phoenix Center of Father Duenas High School this Sunday, April 15, to raise money for Sisters of Mercy on Guam.

All the proceeds from the concert will go to Sisters of Mercy on Guam , a non-profit organization involved in various ministries: education, pastoral work, prayer ministry and social work.

A new generation of performers from the Philippines are coming to Guam for a one-night concert titled “The Voices.”

Morissette, tagged as the “The Next Big Diva” is currently one of the ASAP’s Birit Queens. ASAP is a popular Sunday show in Philippines. Born and raised in Cebu City, Morissette was named New Female Recording Artist of the Year three years ago by the PMPC Star Awards for Music and the Female Artist of the Year on MOR Pinoy Music Awards in August 2016.

She is known for her whistle prowess and has been a recording artist since 2014 with a self-titled album “Morissette.”

She will be joined by young international actor, singer, dancer and model Sam Concepcion. With a total of 12 theater roles he played starting at young age, a number of movie roles and music album, Concepcion has impressive credentials under his belt. Concepcion was picked by Dreamworks to sing “Kung Fun Fighting,” the soundtrack of the animated film Kung Fu Panda.

The concert also features Tim Pavino, a 27-year-old Filipino-American singer hailed as a pop balladeer of his generation. Pavino is into classical music as well as contemporary ballads that will provide an alternative treat for audience who wants to be serenaded.

Uy said the concert is guaranteed to provide a world-class entertainment and patrons are assured that the tickets that they are buying will go a long way in helping the care centers of Sisters of Mercy.
