By Pacific Island Times News Staff

A recent increase in Covid-19 cases in the community has prompted Guam Regional Medical City to reinstate a temporary mask mandate and limited visitation next week.

The temporary policy will be in effect from Jan. 15 to Feb. 16 and may be extended based on developments in the facility and our community, GRMC said.

Mandatory mask usage will apply to all individuals entering GRMC. Masks must be tightly fitted, covering both the nose and mouth completely with no gaps. Security personnel will provide face masks to visitors and patients upon entering. Those with respiratory symptoms or fever will not be permitted to enter the hospital.

Limited visitation guidelines are as follows:

  • Med-Telemetry

  • Med-Surgical

  • Emergency Department

  1. Comfort Care patients are limited to five visitors at a time.

  2. Intensive Care Unit patients are permitted two visitors during the hours of 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., 10 a.m. to 11 a.m, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. No switching.
