Guam reported its 365th Covid-related death and 149 new positive cases and 10 hospital admissions.

Public health officials last week said the rise in new Covid-19 cases was expected with large gatherings at the height of graduation season.

Guam’s latest fatality occurred at Guam Memorial Hospital on June 4. The patient was a 49-year-old male, vaccinated with one booster, with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on May 8.

Officials advised at-risk individuals and older adults to continue wearing face masks in confined, poorly ventilated areas. Older adults and people with serious chronic medical conditions are most at risk for serious complications and death due to Covid-19.
