The Bureau of Public Health has received laboratory confirmation from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of a part Zika virus in a person in Palau. The person had no recent travel history to any Zika-affected and is likely to have been infected in Palau. The health bureau initiates activities to control and prevent the spread of Zika virus.
