15 out of 630 test Covid positive

Fifteen new cases of Covid-19 were identified out of 630 tests performed on July 7. Eight cases were identified through contact tracing. One case reported recent travel history and was identified in quarantine.


To date, there have been a total of 8,423 officially reported cases of Covid-19 with 140 deaths, 93 cases in active isolation, and 8,190 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 0.8.


To date, a total of 91,936 or 76.59 percent of adults have received either both doses in the two-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna), or the single-dose series (Johnson & Johnson/Janssen) of the COVID-19 vaccine.


Today, the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) confirmed that three individuals tested positive for Covid-19.


The first individual has been identified as a student attending D.L. Perez Elementary School. The second and third individuals have been identified as siblings attending Okkodo High School.


GDOE, in collaboration with DPHSS, has identified and notified all close contacts. They will remain in quarantine until cleared by DPHSS to return to school. Areas of both campuses have been cleaned and disinfected. Regular hours of operation at both sites will resume on Friday, July 9.
