A recent increase in Covid-19 cases in the community has prompted Guam Regional Medical City to reinstate a temporary mask mandate and limited visitation next week.
The temporary policy will be in effect from Jan. 15 to Feb. 16 and may be extended based on developments in the facility and our community, GRMC said.
Mandatory mask usage will apply to all individuals entering GRMC. Masks must be tightly fitted, covering both the nose and mouth completely with no gaps. Security personnel will provide face masks to visitors and patients upon entering. Those with respiratory symptoms or fever will not be permitted to enter the hospital.
Limited visitation guidelines are as follows:
Visitors for the following patient care areas are limited to one visitor per patient:
Med-Telemetry
Med-Surgical
Emergency Department
Comfort Care patients are limited to five visitors at a time.
Intensive Care Unit patients are permitted two visitors during the hours of 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., 10 a.m. to 11 a.m, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. No switching.
Outpatient appointments and procedures are permitted one companion.
Morgue viewings will continue to have no visitation limit for two hours.
