United opens new direct flight service between Guam and Taipei

 United hosted a gate celebration at the A. B. Won Pat International Airport on Wednesday to mark the launch of the Guam-Taipei direct service.

United Airlines on Wednesday launched a new direct flight service between Guam and and Taipei, the second route to open this year, in a bid to ramp up this market.

“United is connecting two of the most beautiful tropical destinations in the region to offer our customers more unique travel experiences,” said Sam Shinohara, managing director of Airport Operations, Asia/Pacific at United.

“The launch of the new Guam-Taipei route opens new tourism markets for both Guam and Taipei and is a leap in a positive direction in the recovery of Guam’s tourism recovery efforts. We are committed to ensuring this new route is a success,” he added.

 United hosted a gate celebration at the A. B. Won Pat International Airport on Wednesday to mark the launch of the Guam-Taipei direct service.

United will operate the route twice weekly.
