Six of 302 samples test Covid positive




Six new cases of Covid-19 were identified out of 302 tests performed on Wednesday, May 19. Two cases were identified through contact tracing. To date, there have been a total of 8,124 officially reported cases of COVID-19 with 139 deaths, 91 cases in active isolation, and 7,894 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 1.0.


Today, the Guam Department of Education (GDOE) confirmed one case in which an individual tested positive for Covid19. The individual has been identified as an employee at Liguan Elementary School.


GDOE, in collaboration with the Department of Public Health and Social Services is conducting contact tracing to identify and notify individuals who were in close contact with these individuals. These individuals will be placed in quarantine and/or isolation until they are cleared by DPHSS. Areas of the school campus have been cleaned and disinfected. Regular hours of operation will continue on Friday, May 21.
