Thomas “Tommy” Hicks Jr., co-chairman of the Republican National Committee, will arrive on Guam on Wednesday to meet with Guam's party officials, committee leaders and candidates, the Republican Party of Guam announced today.
“We are excited and honored to have the presence of RNC co-chairman, Tommy Hicks Jr. on island this week. This continues to evidence the Republican National Committee’s perception and commitment to Guam on the political landscape, and which is one of importance and priority," said Juan Carlos Benitez, chairman of Republican Party of Guam.
Hicks was elected in 2019 as co-chairman of the Republican National Committee and is also a private equity investor. He is a Partner of Hicks Holding, LLC, a Founding Partner of Scout SSG, LLC, and serves as a Director for Resolute Energy Corporation. Co-Chairman Hicks has also served on the Board of Directors for Carol’s Daughters and Berkshire Resources, LLC.
“The RNC is excited about the Republican Party of Guam’s slate of Gubernatorial, Congressional, and Senatorial candidates for the 2022 elections, and Co-Chairman Hicks will be discussing ways the national committee can provide some additional support," Benitez said.
This is the second high-ranking official from the RNC to visit Guam in recent years, as the RNC Chairwoman, Ronna McDaniel visited Guam in 2020.
