Guam's art council opens '26 grant cycle

The Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities Agency (CAHA) is excited to announce the opening of its Fiscal Year 2026 Grant Cycle, inviting applications for grants and fellowships across a diverse array of artistic and cultural disciplines. This cycle encompasses opportunities in Arts Education, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Folk Arts, Humanities, Literature, Underserved Communities, and Media Arts. The project period for the FY 2026 Grant Cycle will run from Oct. 1, 2025, to Sept. 30, 2026.
To ensure eligibility, all interested parties are required to attend one of the upcoming grant workshops. These workshops are scheduled for Aug. 25 and 26 26 starting at 5:30 p.m.
It is essential for applicants to participate in one of these sessions, as attendance is a prerequisite for their applications to be considered for board review.
The free grant workshops will take place at CAHA, located at the DNA Building, Suite 202, 238 Archbishop FC Flores Street in Hagåtña. Participants can expect to gain valuable insights and essential information regarding the grant application process.
Applications will be available for download from the agency’s website at www.guamcaha.org starting on Aug. 26, 2025.
This initiative represents a significant opportunity for artists, individuals, and organizations within the cultural and artistic communities to secure funding for their innovative projects and initiatives.
Monica Guzman, CAHA chair, said, “Grants can provide the motivation and resources needed to transform artistic visions into reality, fostering creativity and innovation.”
Acting CAHA director Jackie Balbas added, “The grants give artists a platform to showcase their work and receive the necessary support to pursue their creative endeavors.”
The final deadline for the submission of all applications and supporting materials is set for 4 p.m. on Sept. 16. Interested individuals and organizations must submit their applications via email to grants@caha.guam.gov.
