Be Heartfelt, Tower for

Humanity host food drive

and competition

Be Heartfelt, in partnership with Tower for Humanity, is hosting the Fourth Annual Cans for Humanity at Micronesia Mall, bringing together businesses,

schools, churches, military groups, nonprofits, student organizations, clubs

and community members with one shared goal: helping feed children experiencing food insecurity throughout Guam.

Participating teams will use donated canned food to build creative structures throughout Micronesia Mall, transforming thousands of cans into a powerful visual reminder that childhood hunger exists in our community and that every

person can play a role in helping.

The event, which began yesterday and continues today, seeks to collect 30,000 cans of food. The food collected through Cans for Humanity will help support Be Heartfelt’s Meal Pack Program, which provides food to children who may otherwise face weekends and school breaks without dependable access to meals.

“Cans for Humanity is really about reminding our community that behind every can is a child,” said Lori Marsh Marble, President and Founder of Be Heartfelt. “We want children to know that their community sees them, loves them, and cares about what happens to them. Whether someone brings one

can, a case of food, volunteers their time, or builds an entire structure, every act of generosity matters.”

Through its Meal Pack Program, Be Heartfelt currently provides weekly food support to approximately 350 children on Guam, 60 children in Saipan and    55 children in Palau.
