The Department of Public Health and Social Services on Tuesday reported 109 new cases of Covid-19 from 1,401 specimens collected on Aug. 8.
Nineteen of the cases reported today are through the Department of Defense.
To date, there have been a total of 56,226 officially reported cases, 384 deaths, 1,210 cases in active isolation, and 54,632 not in active isolation.
The Joint Information Center reported Guam’s 384th Covid-19-related fatality occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City on Aug. 5.
The patient was an 80-year-old female, fully vaccinated without a booster, with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on Aug. 4.
The health department also reported 28 hospital admissions.
The department announced that Bebtelovimab, a monoclonal antibody (mAb) for the treatment of mild-to-moderate Covid-19 in adults and pediatric patients (12 years of age and older weighing at least 40 kilograms) is available at the DPHSS mAb treatment center at the Paseo Stadium in Hagåtña from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closes for lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
