Guam Memorial Hospital today announced new security protocols beginning
Jan. 21 at 8 a.m. to help "create a safe and secure environment for everyone."
The updated measures will include quick bag checks-- either visual or physical
-- and the use of handheld metal detector wands.
If necessary, security personnel may conduct physical pat-downs as part of
ensuring and respecting the dignity, privacy, and confidentiality of visitors, support persons, contractors and vendors.
GMH said the new screening protocols will apply to all individuals
entering the hospital, including visitors, support persons, contractors,
and vendors.
GMH said those who decline to participate in the screening process may not be
permitted to enter the hospital.
