Disney’s Dare to Dream JR. to conclude Aug. at SandCastle

World Theater Productions' Disney's Dare to Dream JR. will have its final performance on Aug. 24 at 5 p.m. at the SandCastle Guam theater in Tumon.

As previously announced, due to popular demand, WTP and SandCastle Guam extended Dare to Dream JR., a Disney Musical Revue, for six additional weeks following its initial two-day run on July 5 and 6.

WTP is the first to stage a production of Dare to Dream JR worldwide.

Dare to Dream JR. transforms a century of Disney magic into a theatrical celebration of music, creativity, and the dreams that live inside us all. This production features songs appearing for the first time in a Disney stage musical, including fan favorites from The Princess and the Frog, Coco, Encanto, and Frozen II.

7th Marianas History Conference returns

The University of Guam and Humanities Guåhan, in partnership with Guampedia,

the Guam Preservation Trust, and the Northern Marianas Humanities Council announced the return of the Seventh Marianas History Conference.

This year’s conference will be held from Aug. 29 to 31 at UOG, under the theme “One Archipelago, Many Stories: Weaving Stories of Land & Lineage.”

The conference invites participants to explore the shared histories, cultural practices, and interwoven connections between the peoples of the Mariana Islands.

The theme draws inspiration from the practice of weaving, long held by the Chamorro and Refaluwasch peoples as a tradition that binds generations,

communities and knowledge systems together.

The three-day event will feature panel presentations, cultural sessions, and plenary addresses by Dr. Galvin Deleon Guerrero, Jillette T. Leon-Guerrero, and Manuel Flores Borja, among other distinguished speakers.

The conference welcomes community members, cultural workers,

educators, students, and scholars from across the Marianas and beyond. A number of sessions and cultural activities will also be free and open to the public.

Conference registration is $40, and tickets must be purchased exclusively through GuamTime. Students are eligible for complimentary tickets and must request an access code by emailing mhc@triton.uog.edu. Early bird registrants who previously used a form may also contact the

organisers to request a discount code.
