CNMI's new Covid cases: 128

Saipan-- The CNMI continues to see a surge in Covid transmissions, reporting 128 new cases that brought the CNMI total to 4,692 cases since March 26, 2020. The individuals have been isolated and are actively monitored. Of the 128 cases identified on Jan. 27, officials said 74 were identified via contact tracing, 46 via community testing and eight via travel testing, A total of 17 cases were identified on Rota.

As of Jan. 28, there were nine individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19: Four unvaccinated, four vaccinated, one partially vaccinated; and two are on a ventilator
