Bank of Guam on Monday broke ground on its new northern branch in Dededo, which will feature the "Branch of the Future" design model, focusing on self-service and leading-edge technology.
Â
Located along Brigadier General Ben Blaz Memorial Highway, formerly known as Route 3, Bank of Guam’s northern branch will serve as a hub of innovation and convenience for families and businesses in the north.Â
"Our focus over the past few years has been centered around our digital transformation, strengthening our product offerings and finding more ways to meet our customers where they are at," said Joaquin PLG Cook, the bank's CEO.
"While these investments help pave the way for better customer experiences and have enhanced our legacy of service, we understand how important it is to also remain embedded within the communities we serve. Our new branch keeps this commitment to our people, and our island’s northern villages.
The Future Is Breaking Ground, and we’re proud to build it together," he added.
Â
The new 6,250 square-foot location sits on nearly 45,000 square feet of land and will offer a range of features designed to serve the community better.
Â
The branch will include cutting-edge retail and business services areas, versatile meeting spaces for both banking and community use, 3 drive-up ATMs and 2 walk-up ATMs available 24/7, ample parking with 65 spaces for easy access, convenient night drop services, and robust emergency generator and water storage systems.
Â
Taniguchi Ruth Makio Architects are the architects for the project, along with JIC Join Corporation as contractors. Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.

After nearly 40 years, Bank of Guam closed its Dededo and Harmon branches in 2021 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and in preparation for The Start of Something New - the Bank’s forward-looking campaign, bridging a legacy of personalized services alongside the leading-edge conveniences of digital banking.
