Baby among Guam's 5 new Covid deaths

A three-week-old male infant was among the five latest Covid-19 related fatalities on Guam.


The baby was pronounced dead on arrival at Guam Memorial Hospital on Sept, 4. He was ineligible for vaccination and had unknown underlying health conditions. He tested positive on Sept. 4.


Guam's Covid death toll has risen to 394 after the Department of Public Health and Social Services adjusted the number to include previously unreported cases.



  • The 390th fatality occurred at Guam Regional Medical City on Aug. 15. The patient was an 82-year-old male, fully vaccinated with one booster, with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on Aug. 13.

  • The 391st fatality occurred at the U.S. Naval Hospital Guam on Aug. 16,. The patient was a 94-year-old male, with no record of vaccination and unknown underlying health conditions, who tested positive on Aug. 16.

  • The 392nd fatality occurred at GMH on Aug. 17. The patient was a 57-year-old female, partially vaccinated with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on July 21.

  • The 393rd fatality occurred at GMH on Sep. 3, 2022. The patient was a 70-year-old male, fully vaccinated without a booster with underlying health conditions, who tested positive on Aug. 20.
