Executive branch personnel cost $8.4M

The executive branch of the government of Guam has a budget of $8.4 million for employees under Office of the Governor and cabinet positions, according to the staffing pattern released by the office of the governor today.

"The administration was guided by the Competitive Wage Act when setting salaries, as well as the individual’s talents, abilities, experience, and academic credentials," a press release from the governor's office said.

Chief of staff Tony Babauta is making $120,000. Deputy chief of Staff Jon Calvo is making $115,000. Former Gov. Carl Gutierrez is making $90,000.
