UOG employee found in campus parking lot dies

The University of Guam is assisting the Guam Police Department in investigating the death of an employee, who was found at 8 a.m. Sunday by the campus security in the parking lot between the RFK Memorial Library and the Computer Center.

The individual has been identified as Angel Crisostomo Petros, a multimedia technician II at the RFK Memorial Library.

Details of Petros' death were not immediately available.

Petros’ immediate family has been notified of his death. The university is cooperating with GPD’s ongoing investigation, according to a press release from UOG.

Petros joined UOG in 1995 and was named employee of the year in 2006 for technical, professional (non-faculty) and paraprofessional personnel.

“This is a trying time for our university community. We are in shock and saddened,” said UOG President Thomas Krise. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Angel's family and loved ones.”
