Liberation Day Parade preps on Guam's Marine Corps Drive

The reviewing stand for the 73rd Guam Liberation Day Parade was deserted at midday Thursday, but it will be a very busy place Friday morning as the VIPs and honored guests seated inside watch the passing marchers and floats.

The Liberation Day Parade kicks off at 9 a.m. Friday morning from Adelup, marching toward Hagatna.

Meanwhile, along the parade route, permit holders have staked out their perches to watch the parade and party during the day and more canopies are going up by the hour.

Here's what the reviewing stand and the Liberation Day Parade looked like in 2015
