What began as a hobby baking for family and friends quickly sparked interest from the community and evolved into a growing business that will soon serve customers islandwide.
The 23-year-old entrepreneur Trisha Mae Marquez is now set to open La Mae’s Bake Shop inside Pay-Less Supermarkets at Micronesia Mall, with the support of her partner, ArAr Villones.
La Mae’s Bake Shop will have its soft opening on Dec. 19, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The soft opening will feature signature cakes, cream puffs and macarons, including limited-time Christmas flavors.

The collaboration brings freshly baked, handcrafted desserts to shoppers in one of Guam’s busiest retail destinations.
After graduating from the University of Guam in 2024, Marquez took a leap of faith to pursue her dream of opening a bakery, transforming her passion for baking into a meaningful local brand.
Known for its beautifully crafted custom cakes, La Mae’s Bake Shop also offers an array of pastries and grab-and-go treats.
The bakery’s mission is “To create smiles as sweet as our treats—bringing joy, comfort, and celebration to Guam’s community, one treat at a time.”
“All I’ve ever wanted to do is make people smile through the treats I make," Marquez said.
"Opening inside Micronesia Mall Pay-Less allows us to connect with more people while staying true to why we started. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity and the support from our customers and Pay-Less Supermarkets," she added.
