Guam reports two more Covid deaths, 777 new cases, 47 hospitalizations

Guam reported two new Covid-19 related fatalities, raising the island's death toll to 296.

The 295th fatality occurred at Guam Regional Medical City on Jan. 31. The patient was a 73-year-old female, unvaccinated, with underlying health conditions who tested positive on Jan. 28.


The 296th fatality was pronounced dead on arrival at the Guam Memorial Hospital on Feb. 1. The patient was a 69-year-old male, unvaccinated, with underlying health conditions who tested positive on Feb. 1.


The Department of Public Health and Social Services reported 770 new cases of Covid-19 from 2,145 specimens analyzed on Feb. 1. Of the new tally, 80 cases were reported through the Department of Defense.


There were 47 hospital admissions as of Feb. 1.


To date, there have been a total of 33,788 officially reported cases, 296 deaths, 6,090 cases in active isolation, and 27,402 not in active isolation.
