MM Theatres at the Micronesia Mall has installed Guam’s first Barco laser projectors, touted to elevate the island’s cinematic experience with cutting-edge, cinema-grade visual performance.
The new technology generates sharper 4K-capable imagery, consistent picture quality throughout each show and reduced maintenance downtime, translating to a superior viewing experience for blockbuster films, special events and group
screenings.
Barco laser projectors produce true-to-life color reproduction and deeper
blacks for enhanced on-screen detail and more vibrant imagery; higher
brightness and uniformity for clearer images in the auditoriums; faster startup and more reliable performance, ensuring showtimes run smoothly and without interruption.
“We’re excited to bring Barco’s industry-leading laser projection technology to Guam,” said Constance Camat, operations manager of MM Theatres. “This first step to upgrading each projector reflects our commitment to offering the community the best possible cinematic experience for every occasion— whether it’s catching the latest blockbusters, a family movie night, celebrating a birthday, or a school field trip.”
MM Theatres will begin screenings with the new Barco laser projector starting March 6 with the release of Pixar’s Hoppers. There is no better way to experience Pixar’s signature animation artistry than in stunning laser-projected 4K.
