Bookshelf: Guam Public Library revives eBook collection with more titles

The Guam Public Library System’s digital shelves are once again stocked with thousands of titles, ready to be borrowed and enjoyed by library patrons.
The eBooks are accessible through popular platforms such as Libby, powered by OverDrive, making it easier than ever to borrow and enjoy eBooks on various devices.
“We know our community loves to read and we’re excited to bring back the convenience and accessibility of eBooks,” said Angie Taitague, acting director of
GPLS. “This isn’t just a digital bookshelf; it’s a gateway to a world of stories, knowledge, and entertainment, available anytime, anywhere. Whether you’re a seasoned reader or new to digital libraries, there’s something for everyone.
GPLS is hosting a “Digital Fiesta” with a variety of online events and activities
with eBooks:
● “Ebook Extravaganza”: Explore the library’s eBook collection and discover new favorites
● Browse our local book collections
● Check out “self-help” books (ASVAB, GED, etc.)
● Tech Tips & Tricks: Learn how to navigate the library’s digital platforms and get the most out of your eBook experience
To sign up for access, you must be an existing library card member or you may visit any of our library locations to sign up for a library card.
Hours of operation:
Hagåtña Library – Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., & Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Barrigada Library – Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed for lunch from 12 – 1pm)
Dededo Library – Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed for lunch from 12 -1 pm) Hågat Library – Tuesdays and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed for lunch from 12 -1pm) Yoña Library – Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed for lunch from 12 -1 pm)
