Peto’s Journey LLC, doing business as Peto’s Publishing, has launched its first comic book, “Peto, Crisis at Anemas Bay, Part 1,” a milestone that transforms grief into hope and continues the mission to inspire literacy and creativity across Guam.

“Peto, Crisis at Anemas Bay, Part 1” marks the

next chapter in the beloved  Peto series.

Written by author Jarneec’ Halsey and illustrated by Guam native Antonio Leon Guerrero, the comic captures the heart and resilience that define the brand—blending adventure, art and

emotion to inspire readers of all ages.

“This comic represents more than just a creative milestone. It’s a promis that even in moments of loss, we can create something that brings light to others,” said Jarneec’ Halsey, founder & CEO of Peto’s Journey LLC.

“Turning grief into hope has been the heart of Peto’s Journey. Through storytelling, we continue to honor Peto’s spirit while inspiring young readers to dream, learn, and believe in their own strength.”

Leon Guerrero, the illustrator whose artistic journey began with Peto & the Pecan Tree, has illustrated countless stories that celebrate island culture and resilience. He shared that he never believed he could illustrate a book, but

working with Peto’s Publishing has shown him “he can do anything with the love and support of his friends and family.”

Peto’s Journey LLC, doing business as Peto’s Publishing, is a Guam-based publishing and creative company, whose mission is to amplify every voice, celebrate every story, and inspire people to dream. Through books, comics, and literacy initiatives, Peto’s Journey continues to transform loss into legacy — using storytelling to heal hearts and strengthen the island community.

In addition to publishing, Peto’s Journey operates Peto’s Creation, a vibrant merchandise shop located in Chamorro Village.

The store features the official Peto brand and showcases works from other talented authors and clients, including Gem Gnomes, Inward Journey by Elizabeth Ohmann and My Best Friend by Bonnie K. Kliest.
