What began inside a family home has grown into a thriving small business with a storefront in the heart of Hagåtña.

Bonita Baby, a CHamoru-inspired children’s brand, is now celebrating its 10th year,  marking a decade of cultural pride, family history and deep community

support.

Bonita Baby was founded in 2014 by the late Jessica Leon Guerrero Stout, along with her brother, Joseph Leon Guerrero, and her mother, Margarita Leon Guerrero.

They operated the business at home, where they designed, created and  package children’s products inspired by Guam’s culture.

With steady community support, Jessica achieved her dream of opening Bonita Baby’s first storefront, a proud milestone for the Leon Guerrero family.

In 2020, Jessica faced an unexpected and aggressive cancer diagnosis. Even during this difficult time, she continued to pour love, creativity and hope into the business she built for her family.

Before her passing in 2022, she entrusted Bonita Baby to her daughter, Celia J. Anderson, asking her to continue what she started. Today, especially during this season of gratitude, Celia remains deeply thankful for her mother's guidance, strength, and the legacy she left behind.

Since stepping into her role, Anderson has carried her mother’s mission forward with purpose and devotion.

Today, she serves as the president & CEO of Bonita Baby, guiding the brand with the same heart, creativity, and cultural pride her mother embodied.

Over the past decade, Bonita Baby has become Guam’s leading CHamoru-inspired children’s brand, offering apparel, puzzles, accessories and giftable items designed especially for island kids.

“Our goal is simple: to create joyful, modern treasures that celebrate island

identity and inspire the next generation,” Ancderson said. “Reaching 10 years is incredibly meaningful,” Anderson said. “This milestone honors my

mom, my family and every Guam family who has supported us from day one.

This is a celebration for our island and culture.”
