Artspace Guåhan has extended the deadline for artist submissions to Pacific Perspectives, an exhibition featured during Art Bash 2025 this October at the Guam Museum.
The new deadline for submissions and proposals is Sept. 30 with final approved artworks to be delivered by Oct. 10.
“Pacific Perspectives” explores the vibrant intersection of tradition and innovation in the Pacific, spotlighting artists from Guam and across the region whose work reflects evolving cultural identities, narratives, and artistic expressions unique to island life.
There is no registration or submission fee, and 100 percent of proceeds from artwork sales go directly to the artist. Artists may submit up to three original works in any medium — painting, sculpture, digital media, etc. — along with a brief artist statement describing their connection to the theme.
Pacific Perspectives explores the stories, histories and evolving identities of the Pacific through art.
Submission Requirements:
Up to three works per artist
Artwork must be ready to hang or display
Include name, title, medium, dimensions, and year completed
Artist statement (150 words or less)
Email submissions to info@artspaceguahan.org with the subject line:"Pacific Perspectives – Art Bash Submission".
New co-directors named
Artspace Guåhan has named Royce Hare as managing director for operations & compliance; and Joshua Agerstrand as artistic/community director for partnerships & vision.
Royce brings a strong background in organizational management and compliance, ensuring Artspace runs efficiently and sustainably. Josh is a respected figure in Guam’s arts and education community, recognized for his collaborative spirit and ability to build meaningful partnerships.
Together, their leadership marks an exciting new chapter for Artspace Guåhan as the organization prepares to open its first dedicated location in Tamuning later this year. Their combined expertise will help grow programming, expand community engagement, and strengthen the mission to empower Guam’s creative community by providing space, resources, and opportunities for artists to thrive.
“Royce and Josh bring not only experience but a shared passion for building an inclusive and inspiring space for Guam’s artists,” said Deane Jessee-Jones, co-founder of Artspace Guåhan. “Their leadership couldn’t come at a better time as we prepare to open our new home in Tamuning, a place where artists of all ages and disciplines can gather, collaborate, and create together. We are incredibly excited for the impact this will have on Guam’s cultural and creative community.”
