$61.6M defense contract awarded to Guam venture

The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Marianas' Naval Support Activity Andersen has awarded Core Tech-HDCC-Kajima a $61.6 million unilateral modification to the previously awarded contract for the construction of a joint communications upgrade at Naval Base Guam and Camp Blaz.
This award brings the total cumulative face value of the firm-fixed-price contract to $351.344 million.
The contract modification is for the exercise of Option Three for Fiber SONET Ring at Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz and Naval Base Guam.
Work is expected to be completed by March 2029.
Fiscal 2026 military construction funds in the amount of $10 million will be obligated at the time of award and funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
