Docomo Pacific Inc. President and CEO Jonathan Kriegel will transition to another senior position within the NTT DOCOMO Group in July of this year, the company said.

Kriegel joined Docomo Pacific in 2014 at the close of its merger with Marianas Cable Vision (MCV) at which time he played an instrumental role in the company's transition from an important mobile player to a market leader in quadplay communications.

Over the past four years, Kriegel has led the business in making significant improvements to the quality of its network, enhancing the customer experience, and expanding products and services to the growing needs in Guam and the CNMI.

“Docomo Pacific is driven by its purpose to bring you and your family closer to the things that matter most. JK has championed this purpose, activating our ‘Better Together’ promise and bringing a renewed focus to our company culture. He has also reactivated our relationship within the communities in which we serve,” said Nate Taimanglo, chief people officer.

Katsuyuki Takagi, Executive General Manager of Global Business Division, NTT Docomo has named Roderick Boss to succeed Kriegel as president and CEO of Docomo.

Boss brings diverse telecom experience from years spent at AirTouch, AT&T, Japan Telecom America and Pacific Crossing Limited.

“I'm excited to be part of the exciting future of Docomo Pacific. Through my many years working in telecommunications, I have always had the highest respect for DOCOMO and NTT as both a partner and a competitor,” Boss said. “I was in Guam for a short time a number of years ago and look forward to getting to know it better and working closely together with all employees, customers, and partners.”
