United Airlines will launch a new daily jet service between Guam and Saipan with its Boeing 737-800 jet aircraft (16 seats in United Business, 42 seats in United Economy Plus and 108 seats in United Economy), effective June 1.
United Airlines and Cape Air have ended their relationship for Cape Air service in Micronesia including its five-time daily Guam-Saipan service, as well as the Rota-Guam and Rota-Saipan service effective May 31.
The new daily B737-800 jet service will provide our customers in Guam and Saipan with a more reliable and comfortable customer experience. In addition, the new service will offer customers more choices of seats, namely United Business, United Economy Plus or United Economy.
The new service will depart Guam daily at 7 a.m. and arrive in Saipan at 7:45 a.m. The return flight will depart Saipan at 8:45 a.m. and arrive in Guam at 9:30 a.m.
Additional flights will operate using 120-seat B737-700s featuring 12 business class seats, 30 Economy Plus seats and 78 economy class seats, as well as 166-seat B737‐800s with 16 business class seats, 42 Economy Plus seats and 108 economy class seats.
United is the only U.S.airline that operates flights between Guam and Japan. It currently operates more than 40 regular non-stop weekly flights between Guam and four Japanese cities (Tokyo/Narita, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka). These additionally scheduled flights will enable more Japanese customers to visit Guam, the closest and the most well-known overseas beach resort in Japan, with more convenient flight choices during summer holidays.
United will contact customers with bookings for the affected flights beyond that date to either offer them alternative travel plans with United or provide them with refunds.
