Guam's Covid-19 death toll has risen to 217 following the passing of three patients this week.
The Department of Public Health and Social Services reported 185 new cases out of 1,444 tests performed on Oct. 11. Seventy-four cases were identified through contact tracing.
To date, there have been a total of 16,461 officially reported cases, 217 deaths, 2,839 cases in active isolation, and 13,405 not in active isolation. The CAR Score is 24.7.
Hospital admissions have been relatively stable at 56, with 10 in ICU and eight on ventilators.
Details of fatalities are as follow:
The 215th death occurred at the Guam Regional Medical City on Oct. 10. The patient was a 73-year-old female, unvaccinated, with underlying health conditions. She tested positive on Sept. 16.
The 216th fatality occurred at the Guam Memorial Hospital on Oct. 11. The patient was a 71-year-old female, unvaccinated, with underlying health conditions. She tested positive on Oct. 2.
The 217th fatality was pronounced dead on arrival at GRMC on Oct. 12. The patient was a 75-year-old female, unvaccinated, with unknown underlying health conditions. She tested positive on Oct. 12.
