Governor to announce new restrictions




"After consulting with leadership from Public Health, the Guam Memorial Hospital, the Guam Regional Medical City, her State Surgeon, and her COVID-19 team, Governor Leon Guerrero is considering additional limitations to social gatherings," Communications Director Krystal Paco San Agustin announced today.

Amid the raging debate over Gov. Lou Leon's Guerrero's controversial new vaccine policy, Guam has reported a total of 314 new Covid-19 positive cases, with 27 hospital admissions and another coronavirus-related death.


Guam's Covid Area Risk score is now 18.2.


The Joint Information Center on Monday reported the death of an 88-year-old man at the Guam Memorial Hospital. The patient, who died at 6:40 p.m, on Sunday, had underlying health conditions and was unvaccinated. He tested positive for Covid-19 on Aug. 14. He became Guam's 145th coronavirus-related death.
