Federal program renews with TakeCare

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management has renewed its Federal Employee Health Benefit program with TakeCare Insurance Company for 2022, the company announced today.

Open Season for the FEHB 2022 benefit year will be from Nov. 8 through Dec. 13.

As the health insurance provider covering the largest share of federal civilian employees, retirees and family members through the FEHB program in the region, TakeCare is held to health industry-leading performance standards set by OPM and the U.S. Office of the Inspector General.

“During our forty-plus year relationship with the FEHB program, we at TakeCare have worked hard to provide our valued federal members access to high quality, innovative health insurance services, comprehensive health education and wellness benefits, and optimal health care delivery options including exclusive access to the FHP Health Center on Guam” said Arvin Lojo, TakeCare health plan administrator.

TakeCare was the first health plan in the region to be accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, beginning in June 2016.

TakeCare and its provider network have also been participating in the National Committee for Quality Assurance Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set reporting for more than 10 years as part of a continued commitment to delivering quality health care services to TakeCare members.

TakeCare’s provider network on Guam — including, but not limited to, the Guam Memorial Hospital, Guam Regional Medical City, Guam Seventh Day Adventist Clinic, American Medical Center, IHP, and exclusive access to FHP Health Center for FEHB participants — is the largest provider network of any insurance plan in the region. Outside of the region, TakeCare members have access to an even larger network of quality medical facilities in Hawaii, the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, and the continental United States.
