Covid transmissions in CNMI show signs of slowing down

Saipan-- The CNMI's Covid-19 transmissions are starting to show signs of slowing down this week with 19 new Covid-19 cases, half the number reported the previous day.


The CNMI's total Covid count is 4,265 cases since March 26, 2020.


The individuals have been isolated and are actively monitored.

Of the 19 cases identified on Jan. 23, four were identified via contact tracing, 6 via community testing, nine via travel testing.

As of Jan. 24, there were six individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19. Three of the patients are unvaccinated, two are vaccinated and one is partially vaccinated. Two are on a ventilator.
