Saipan-- The CNMI today reported its 30th Covid-19-related death and 117 new positive cases.

The CNMI's total count is 9,595 cases since March 26, 2020. Some duplicates have been removed.

As of Feb. 27, there were five Covid-related hospital admissions. Three are vaccinated and two are partially vaccinated.

Of the 117 new cases identified on Feb. 26, nine were identified on Tinian, and seven on Rota.

The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation continues to encourage the community to get vaccinated if they have not done so, or get their booster shot if they are eligible to help prevent severe illness, hospitalization, or death.

Officials said people considered high risk (e.g., history of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, or cancer, or over the age of 65), immunocompromised persons, or unvaccinated individuals are at risk of serious illness from Covid-19.
