Guam is on the call
Before he headed off to his first and only visit to troops in the Iraq combat zone, President Trump had a conference call "with service members stationed at remote sites worldwide to thank them for their service to our Nation," according to a White House statement.
Among those "remote areas" was Guam, though it wasn't clear which military personnel heard from the commander-in-chief. He also reportedly spoke to military members in Bahrain, Qatar and Alaska on the phone, before headed off to Iraq with first lady Melania to do the same face to face.
"It’s a disgrace what’s happening in our country," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. "But other than that, I wish everybody a very Merry Christmas."
